The BOLD & BRIGHT 2015 exhibition : a vibrant & colorful celebration of art. Entries can be anything the artist would interpret as bold, intense, bright, captivating and vivid in color.
Entries accepted in any 2D and 3D medium. All entries must have wire hardware and ready to hang/display. Entry cards must be attached to back of all artwork and entrant’s name & info included at time of delivery.
A maximum of four (4) entries per artist may be submitted. Artists accepted will be notified by email. Early entries MUST BE HAND DELIVERED to Warehouse 414 by 5pm on Friday, May 10th and ALL entries received by May 16th for consideration. Shipped art NOT accepted.

Sherry Best, Art Collection Curator of the Alice C. Sabatini Gallery at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library. She joined the library in 2003 from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, where she taught photography, art history and was the director of the Greenlease Gallery. She is a photographer, and has exhibited her photographic work in the Midwest. Sherry holds a master’s degree in photography and a master’s in art history from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Joe Hoffman, Senior Interaction Designer for RBC Medical Innovations and a Professor at the Kansas City Art Institute in the Illustration Department. Joe has more than 20 years of experience in the interactive and online industries as a graphic designer, illustrator, creative/art director and user-experience specialist. When teaching and focusing on the fundamentals of 2-D design and color theory, he places a high degree of emphasis on Gestalt Theory, as well as the use of core visual principles and communication techniques centered around the virtues of critique. Joe Hoffman earned a B.F.A. degree in illustration and design from KCAI (The Kansas City Art Institute) in 1996.
Bob Swain, owner of the Beauchamp’s Art Gallery. Native Topekan Bob Swain received his BFA in Painting from the University of Kansas in 1986. Following graduation, he spent a good portion of the next twenty years working in the world of banking and technology. In 2005, he and wife Kim purchased the Beauchamp Gallery from Paul Beauchamp and became totally immersed in the Topeka arts scene. In addition to advocating for artists from all over the region, Bob still produces his own artwork, including landscapes, portraits and his signature quirky still life paintings.
