Nice set of seven 12-ounce Beverage cocktail glasses by Libbey for their Gold Coin Collection U.S.A. as featured in their 1970-71 Premier Catalog as a NEW item. These cocktail glasses are in good vintage condition. The black is almost perfect as are most of the gold coins; however, a few coins show age. And, although the gold rim seems to be in place, the gold bands above and below the black has quite a bit missing, but you must look for any of the flaws to notice. Most retain the L logo on the bottom. Circa 1970-71.

Libbey calls them a Beverage glass. I call them a short Tom Collins. You can call them whatever you like. Just make this cool set of seven yours! Or should I call it a set of six plus one? Whatever, you will love this tumbler’s perfect cylinder-shaped with a nice heavy bottom and adorned with a black textured overlay inserted sporadically with gold coins. The gold coins depicted are both the heads side and the tails side of United States $10.00 Series coins dated 1795, 1830, 1849, 1875, and 1907. There is a gold horizontal band at the top and bottom of the black overlay and on the rim. The gold rim is apparent on this set of tumblers, but the other rings have quite a bit of wear, however, it doesn’t detract from their overall look. These have a cool retro 1970’s look yet at the same time are right in style for today’s decors. You need them for your bar I’m sure.
